Day one had Bob Bjorkland bringing in four fish (including the 4.11 pound big bass) on spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, Matt Massey three fish on jigs, Troy Coburn two fish on a Senko and a ?, and Curt Stowers two fish on a crankbait and brushhog.  Troy had already locked up angler of the year after day one given that Curtis Welch and Jeff Jones were not at the tourney.  The day was heavy on the wind and light on the fish.

The excitement on day two was that the top two anglers were paired together on Sunday.  Winds were down and the morning actually started slightly overcast and cool.  The sun came out as the day went along as did a gentle (really, honest it WAS gentle) breeze.  Bob put two in the boat early on finesse worms and had Matt down three to one at one point.  Matt avoided embarrassment and caught three additional fish on the drop shot to end up edging Bob four to three for the day and take the tournament.  Curt Stowers landed two fish brush hogs and an additional one on a spinnerbait on Sunday to finish third for the tournement.  The highlight of his day was "hand lining" the final keeper.  The fish took a brush hog in 2' of water and the line popped on the hookset.  Curt used a crankbait to snare the sinking line and bring the fish in hand over hand.  James Waddy witnessed the entire event close up and was witnessed still shaking his head at the weigh in.  Steve Bewley brought in two nice (including the 3.22 pound big bass) fish on a craw tube on Sunday.  His bag was the third best for the day and landed him in fourth for the tourney.
