Start time for tournaments was discussed again. The membership agreed
(again) to start on time, no excuses, regardless of anyone being late. Start
time will be stated by the tournament director at the monthly meeting prior
to the next tournament.
The Pueblo tourney results were mentioned. Winner, Mark VanHeukelom, was not
present but his techniques are stated on the club web site (shelves 10'-18'
deep, tubes). Second place was Casey Welch (tubes), and third was Curtis
Welch (tubes on shelves and dam).
The Colorado State Federation meeting will be held at McPhee Reservoir on

selection of 2006 Fed.Qualifier and dates. DBM's choices in order are

Texas. DBM's season choice is fall. The date will be determined after
B.A.S.S. announces their schedule to avoid conflicts.
Chad Phillips reported on the youth event that preceded the BASS Classic. 87
kids attended the Pittsburgh gala and had pretty tough fishing. Two fish (2#
13oz) took first place in the older age group; one fish (1# 4oz) won in the
younger age group. The kids got to meet all the pros and got to operate the
trolling motor during their tourney. Chad reports that it was a great
experience for all the attendees.
Junior DBM Classic is set for August 13th at Water Valley (owned by
Stillwater Outfitters). The tourney will start at safe light and end at 1pm.
This will be a 12" minimum length tourney where fish will be brought to the
scale.
The usual five day off limits will be waived for the upcoming night tourney
at Chatfield. It will run from 7pm to 7am. This is a (12" minimum, 5
fish/angler) card tourney. Partners were drawn at the meeting. Don Speas has
printed a form showing all pairings. The form will be used in future
tourneys as well. The pairings show 14 boats and one extra non-boater (Jason
Winkler) who's looking for a partner.
MegaBucks arrangements for Lake Powell were discussed. We'll stay and launch
from Hall's Crossing. Lodging is $63 per person total for all three nights -
six people per trailer. The entry is $50 per. We will do a group dinner
Friday and Saturday evening - cost "per" to be announced. Pre-fish is Friday
with the actual tourney on Sat & Sun.
