Meeting Minutes

January 2005

The annual banquet will be held February 8 at the "Colorado Coal Company" from 7-9pm.  Entre choices will be grilled chicken, top sirloin, or seared salmon.  Price is $20 per person and includes one drink.  You need to make your choice by the February meeting.  Take i-25 North to the Erie exit (#232), go west 4 miles to first stop sign (Briggs Street), go North (right) 5 blocks to 578 Briggs Street (across from post office).  Phone number is 303-822-4005.  BE CAREFUL ONCE YOU EXIT!!! SPEED LIMIT IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.

Our website is up and running.

Jeff Jones announced that he is returning to school.  For the next four months, he will be unable to be at our monthly meeting.  Jeff offered to resign as president, but it was suggested that he stay on and have Curt Stowers chair the next several meetings in his absence.  There were no objections to this suggestion.

Tom Grace had open heart surgery on January 5 (?).  All indications are that he is doing well.

A tentative schedule for 2005 was established:

    April 9 - Chatfield

    May 7 - Horsetooth

    June 4-5 - Cedar Bluff

    July 9 - Norton

    August (2nd or 3rd weekend TBD - Night tourney Chatfield

    September 24 - Cedar Bluff

Lakes for Megabucks 2005 were nominated.  Nominations were Powell, Navaho, Cedar Bluff, Morgan, and Alan Henry.
