Meeting Minutes

June 2005

Minutes - DBM - June 1, 2005

The July 9 & 10 tournament previously scheduled for Norton Reservoir has been changed to Pueblo Reservoir as a result of Norton's alleged low water situation. The Pueblo tourney will be a "card" tourney - no fish will actually be weighed in, but rather, recorded on a card.

The date of the August night tournament at Chatfield has been changed to August 27 due to the Federation meeting date conflict.

Matt Massey reported on the State Federation tourney on the Columbia River. Conditions were treacherous with a couple DBM members losing lower units. Most hot spots were mini-honey holes just big enough to position one boat to fish the current breaks. Matt produced fish on Rat-L-Traps and split shot lizards. Curtis Welch echoed many of Matt's remarks on conditions and techniques.

Upcoming DBM events and involvements: Saturday, June 11, C.A.S.T. event at Horsetooth;
Saturday, June 25, Donovan's Pond in Brighton, Denver Junior Bassmasters outing; Saturday, August 20, CO State Federation meeting near McPhee Reservoir in the southwest corner of the state. A day of fishing will follow at the reservoir, hosted by the Durango club.

The partner drawing for Cedar Bluff was held. It was mentioned that Kansas fishing licenses can be purchased on line at www.kdwp.state.ks.us
