Club dues will remain at $65 annually.

 

DOW Appreciation Day is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 30 at Chatfield reservoir. To date there has been one positive response for participation (Robin Knox – fisheries biologist).

 

A Casting Kids event is scheduled for Sat. Oct. 29 at Sportsman’s Warehouse in Thornton . 9am-noon is qualifying and noon-3pm is the championship cast-off. This is our only Casting Kids contest for qualifying for the BASS Classic which will be held early in 2006.

 

Colorado BASS Federation president John Bentz will be stepping down from the position and nominations for the position will take place at the upcoming Fed. meeting.

 

All existing club officers have agreed to stay on in their respective positions for 2006.

 

Cedar Bluff tournament results from Sept. 24 & 25 are as follows:

1st) Matt Massey – first day – black jig for suspended fish on bluffs, second day – heavy (˝  oz) drop shot at base of trees for 4 more fish; 2nd) Bob Bjorklund – spinner & buzzbaits on first day, finesse worms on shaky head in 5’-7’. Bob had first day big fish of 4# 11oz. 3rd) Curt Stowers – crank bait & Brush Hog, then all Brush Hog; 4th) Steve Bewley – flipping & pitching plastics for big bass on day 2.

 

MegaBucks at Powell (Oct 21, 22 & 23) will have club-furnished meals on Friday and Saturday evening.

 

Colorado State fishing and hunting license fees are increasing for 2006. Additionally, there is a madatory $5 habitat stamp to fund new habitat purchase, access and property leases.

 

Partner drawing for Powell paired four boats w/non-boaters and three boaters w/o partners and a few rail sitters (potential partners).
