Tom,
Out of my 3 Reservoirs (Sebelius, Webster & Kirwin) Sebelius is the only
one that I actually performed a bass sample on. The population is still
in fairly good shape
We re-instated the 15 inch length limit at Sebelius (NORR) this past
summer. Most of the LMB will be in the 13 to 15 inch size range. I
sampled 46 LMB per hour electrofishing. You will catch a lot of fish
under 15 inches, but should also catch some over the length limit. From
the sampling data that was collected throughout the State this past year
NORR ranks #2 for Largemouth (LMB) and #2 for Spotted (SPB) bass.
Cedar Bluff is just barely ahead of NORR on SPB. The SPB at NORR look
really good. I sampled right at 50 per hour electrofishing. 53 percent
of my sample were fish over 15-inches. Most of the fish caught over the
15 inch length limit will most likely be spots.
The lake is currently 18' + below conservation pool. The Park has added
another boat ramp on the East side of Leota cove so launching should not
be a problem.
I hope this info. helps on your decision making and if I can be of
further assistance let me know.
